BC Assessment received an Award of Excellence from Esri Canada in April, 2015, for using geographic information system (GIS) technology to improve property assessment and public access to property information. This involves geospatial 3D modeling to conduct detailed condominium valuations without the need for onsite inspections as well as mapping functionality that allows users to quickly search, view and compare property information through BC Assessment's online e-valueBC service.
