Each year, BC Assessment provides uniform property assessments as a basis upon which local governments and other taxing authorities set property taxes that support various public services. Completing the rental schedule (below) will assist in establishing a fair market value for your property.
Under the provisions of the Assessment Act, property owners receiving the form in the mail are requested to complete this form and return it within three weeks to the Assessor. In order to ease any burden on property owners, only a maximum of 1/3 of eligible properties have been contacted by mail. One of the excluded groups is “owner occupied” buildings.
Information submitted is confidential and will not be disclosed to anyone not entitled to it under the Assessment Act.
