When You Move
Why Inform BC Assessment?
Letting your local BC Assessment office know if you have moved is as important as notifying hydro, telephone, gas and post office officials. It ensures that you receive an assessment notice for the property you own. Owners who do not receive their notice soon after it is sent may not have time to appeal their property’s assessed value.
While only about three per cent of all assessment notices are returned each year due to out-of-date addresses, they create some problems for both the owner and the tax authority — your local municipal office.
Listed below is the contact information for each BC Assessment office.
