Please Note: As Property Value Summary reports do not contain confidential property information, an Authorization to Receive Confidential Property Information Form is not required when acting on behalf of the owner(s).
Property Value Summary (PVS) reports provide a summary of property assessment information. This is separate from an assessment notice and is an additional service provided by BC Assessment.
During the month of May this year, the Single and Batch Property Value Summary (PVS) Report Retrieval services service will be impacted by a one-time data centre migration. The Single and Batch PVS Report Retrieval services will be unavailable throughout the following dates:
April 30 at 5pm to May 4 at 8am
May 10 at 5pm to May 14 at 8am
May 27 at 5pm to June 1 at 8am
This service is free of charge for the owner or agent of the owner(s). Alternatively, if you are requesting PVS reports on behalf of the tenant(s) of a property, there is an alternate process with an associated fee (see details).
This service is available for Industrial, Commercial & Investment (IC&I) properties with a primary actual use code of 050, 052-056, or 200-499. PVS reports are not available for legislated properties or properties where there is an override value.
Residential property owners should contact their local assessment office to request information about their property.
Depending on when the request is received, the corresponding report will contain data which matches either the Preview Roll (estimates of assessed values produced in November), the Completed Roll (January through March), or the Revised Roll (April through December).
Please see below for the two different methods for obtaining a PVS report, depending on whether you require a PVS report for one or multiple properties:
Single PVS Request via Self-Serve Portal
This self-serve portal allows property owners or their agents to access single PVS reports by keying the assessment roll number (assessment area, jurisdiction and roll number) and the confidential PIN displayed on their assessment notice. Tax Agents wishing to use the service must obtain this information from the property owner.
Batch PVS Request
For larger volume requests, property owners and their tax agents may request PVS reports in batches of 10 or more properties. Select this option to see more detail on submitting the request.
Batch PVS Retrieval
Select this option to retrieve the reports created through the “Batch PVS Request” process once you receive confirmation that your reports are ready. You will be provided with a username and PIN when your first request has been processed.
